Is it asocial to not bring a gift to a bday party of a twenty-something year old?
Just give them money, thats what I did

Just cash?
With a card?
>child
yes, you bring them a fucking present
>adult
no they're a fucking adult, unless you're family or really close. A token gift is acceptable though.

So empty handed is fine?
They won't look at me funny if I don't even have a card?
Sorry for asking stupid questions, I don't get out of my cave much.
>>18291350
yeah, it's socially acceptable
Idk do you care about the person?
>>18291320
where is the party being held?
>>18291384
His house

Ok so then he is hosting. He invited you to partake in his resources. That means you need to bring something. I suggest booze/beer.
If it were at a bar or something, where he didn't pay anything to have people around, you wouldn't be socially obligated to do something nice. But since he's feeding/entertaining you at his house on his resources for his birthday, then yes, you should provide something.
