I can't stop sleeping in, especially for work. I have a very understanding manager and knows I work hard at my job, but I can't keep this up.

Even yesterday, I napped 2 hours after work, then I had a full 12 hour sleep when I went to bed, but I still didn't wake up on time. Why can't I just get out of bed when my alarm goes off?

Any helpful advice about getting out of bed would be appreciated /adv/ you're my only hope

Because you don't want to.

Make yourself or force yourself.

This sounds like something you should consult a medical professional about.

Simple OP. Have a string of clocks going throughout your bedroom and in different rooms. Set all the clocks about 3 meter distance away from you until you have a line of about 10 clocks, the further one a full 30 meters from your bed. Then, have each clock's alarm staggered by 5 minutes, with the closest clock alarming a total of 10 times, the next closest clock 9 times, and so on so that more and more clocks start to perform a synchronized alarm that gets larger and further away every 5 minutes. Should you get up from the first clock and snooze it, the next 5 minute period will require you to move a further distance from your bed and snooze more and more clocks. This will penalize you for not getting up, and will start to encourage you to wake up from earlier and earlier clocks.

Enjoy your solution OP, next time I'm fucking charging you for it

Since you're getting excessive amounts of sleep, it's likely there's something else going on than just being tired. You could be having a work-related burnout, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression or other such condition. Basically, consult a medical professional, it's not normal to feel sleepy while getting 14 hours of sleep in total.
