Shut-in NEET stepping into the light. What knowledge do you recommend so as to fool normies that I have NOT been living in a cave for 20 years?

Tl;dr what (and much appreciated - where) to educate myself on that is of interest AND practical use in my day-to-day life? (eg. cars, getting a house, politics, etc.) Please help me fix my ignorance.

Get a vehicle if you live outside of the city.
Get a gym membership and lift/cardio (you don't have to be extreme with this)
Look at the hobbies you enjoy, if they are all inside one's try to drop a couple and do easy outdoor types like hiking.
Get a simple job that doesn't make you work more than 40 hours a week. (Try to make it one where you do a little socialising)
Buy clothes you enjoy that aren't super neet and are form fitting.
Prepare for the summer.

Do these things and you should be on the road to normy-ville

Noted.
But how do I get normie on the mental/intellectual level as well? I want to be able to contribute to conversations about casual things.

What are the things people know and talk about that matter in their lives? I'm taking some online courses to learn more about the world but they'er pretty specific and not sure which or how many of them will help me function as an average person that has a say in casual discussions.

Skim the newspaper. If you can get it for free like if you're at university then it's all the better.
Also browsing reddit front page will probably give you plenty bs conversational filler for any given day.
>>
>>18282492
Also I don't know about your situation but the one piece of advice I'd give is not to forget about your friends, and making friends. Do things with them, have fun.
>>
>>18282549
In the process of making some ... and educating myself to keep them. I would like more than shallow relating that is limited to fun or 'listening' to others talking about stuff.
>>

Are you reading what this guy is even saying?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have friends because if he did, he wouldn't have been a NEET for 20 years. It's also very hard to make friends, ones that will actually be of any help, if you can't follow through in conversation.

As a simple tip for anyone; talk about Trump. He's all any basic person can talk about right now; the new Kim Kardashian.

Just focus on having an active and interesting life. Most people talk about nothing, it's all about your character and how people feel when they're around you. Learn how to have fun and be outwardly focused and people will want to be around you, though I think that's kind of a low goal to have for your life. At the end of the day, people are people and there are more important things.

Are there tutorials for using gym equipment?

inb4 >hurr durr just walk forward on the treadmill or lift up and put down the weights faggot

It looks like it would be simple enough, yeah, but I don't want to injure myself or waste my time by doing something wrong/inefficiently.
>>
>>18282629
I already missed out on the most active part of my life so I have no experiences or knowledge to enrich other people's lives with.

For the sake of conversation, would it be okay to invent life stories, granted I keep up with those little lies? No matter how decent I try to appear, the fact that I have nothing to speak about is a major red flag for most and I'm viewed as boring
>>
>>18282466
I will advise on reading newspaper and news sites so you'll catch up with a lot of what's been happening in public, politics, etc.. it doesn't need to be so deep, just enough to hold conversation or opening small talk with. This is actually how us marketing trained so we'd always has something to speak to others without intimidating them with touching intimate topics/knowledges.

Definitely you'd have to read How to Win Friends and Influence People, also 48 laws of power, so you'd at least understand how social dynamics work in nutshell.
Read on internet how to take care of your personal fitness, health, hygiene and style to be able to visually present yourself good in front of others

For hobbies/interests don't be afraid or ashamed to keep doing even it if it's something like manga/anime, toys, as long as it's not something weird or creepy fetishes. People have diverse interests. Just learn to not touching topics about hobbies/interests too early or being sperg about it since it's a sensitive and intimate topic to talk even to most extroverted "normies"

Just use YouTube bro. Also learn some extremely basic things about your local sports teams. (When seasons are, who your rivals are, when games are, win/losses)
>>
>>18282785
Aight, thanks. But what do sports teams have to do with using gym equipment? The only sports I care about are eSports.
>>
>>18282785

>All I care about are eSports
Do not ever mention this to anyone.

Even regular sports are a waste of time and generally nerdy to get into from my perspective. But that's only because I'm an autismo, but at least I'm a normie autismo.

I keep my autism at home and online. When I am meeting with friends, I resist the urge to tell them about myself.
>>
>>18282828
Nah, of course I won't mention that to anyone who is clearly a normie. Thankfully I don't normally have to hide my autism because I make friends through shit like Smash Bros or TCGs.
>>
>>18282679
YouTube and asking people. If you own exactly what you don't know then there's no need to feel embarrassed for it. Gym folk will usually help you out.
>>
>>18282492
1 stop actually thinking that people are normies

2 hang out with people and learn what you like and don't like through those social interactions. Most importantly, try new things and go out of your comfort zone.
