depends what X is.
if X is heroine, then probably rehab. if its biting your nails, paint them so that when you bite them it tastes bad, substitute with gum etc. if X is masturbating 6 times a day, take your door off its hinges, or remove interwebs from your bedroom.
it actually DOES depend on what it is, otherwise you wouldnt have to ask
Here ya go...

It's overeating. And not exercising enough. I'm 24 and should have built the will to consistently stop this stuff ages ago but haven't and it's driving me nuts. I know that I REALLY need to stop these habits but my frontal lobe's thinking doesn't seem to connect with the rest of my brain when it comes to this stuff. I have a very good ability to excuse bad habits in the moment, while not caring enough about my long term interests until after the fact. Like I'll plan and start a diet or plan to exercise but that stuff will get derailed during my day to day activities as I can't find it within myself to really care, if that makes sense.

Youre just Lazy. You like the idea of having it but not the effort it involves.
Like i like a clean house but i hate cleaning. I hate doing dishes but i like eating off of clean plates. I hate going to work but i like having money.
Make it non negotiable. Come up with a belief thay you NEED to do it.
If you dont have the will power yourself join a gym. Take up a martial arts, see a dietician.
If you truly wanted it you would have foind a way buby now.
idk man. I stopped smoking on hitler's birthday because I think it would make him disappointed in me.
try asking yourself WWHD (what would hitler do?)
