>Go to University
>Save up $50,000 in hopes to finally move
>Move to a new country(country of my dreams)
>First month can't find a job
>"ahh I'll find one soon enough"
>8th month
>Funds draining
>Hundreds of rejected job emails
>Falling into depression
>On the brink of suicide
Was it always in my cards to fail and to take my own life?
I don't know what to do and I'm about to be homeless.

What country are you in? A lot of countries have employment services where they can help you find a job if you're having trouble. Might be a bit shit, but it's better than killing yourself or going hobo mode.
>>
Keep things in perspective. You haven't been diagnosed with some life-threatening illness or had something traumatizing happen to you. You're just struggling to find a good job.

My advice would be to take a lesser job just to sustain yourself so you aren't bleeding your savings dry. Like, work at a restaurant or maybe do some kind of labor. Job job. While you do that, you'll be meeting people and making connections while simultaneously applying for more stuff.

It's gonna be OK.

>Might be a bit shit
Tried those, they gave me jobs that were 3 hours away, I'm not about to do 6 hours of travel a day for work. Plus the closer jobs I applied for and they never got back to me.

>My advice would be to take a lesser job just to sustain yourself so you aren't bleeding your savings dry.
These are the jobs I'm currently trying to get and still get rejected. There is no winning.
>>
>>18243491
if you're willing to move, more options open up
>>
>>18243518
this
>>
>>18243403
what do you do and where do you live?
>>
>>18243560
Well I went to school for psychology and moved to Denmark
>>
>>18243805
lol
>>
>>18243805
>easy degree
>can't get a job
Ah yes, the "college experience." I mean I guess you didn't get a degree in history, English, or social science.
>>
>>18243877
Sorry I went to school for something I wanted to do
>>
Why would you move without having a job lined up?
>>
>>18243805
You cannot stay in Denmark if you don't get (and keep) a job. Are you in Copenhagen? You should definitely move for a job if it is possible, if you want to stay in Denmark. Else move home as quickly as possible, before you make debt.
>>
Is you name non-Western? If it is, stop using it when applying for a position.
>>
Do you have a graduate degree?
>>
>>18243805
Consider vikar agencies until you find a proper job.
The secret to getting a job in Denmark is finding people from your country.
>>
>>18244158
Also summer is starting so it might be a good idea to go to restaurants and hand in your CV.
>>
>>18243805
Should've gone for Sweden .. they bend over backwards for immigrants to start with and have had their fill of useless snackbars by now. Someone with a degree in even BS would be instantly welcomed/employed
>>
>>18243805
omg literally in the same situation. Came to cph in august, doing my master's here but was hoping to also get a job to be able to afford more than rent and shitty food.
You should try going for a post delivery job, I know compared to your dream jobs it sounds like shit but at least it's something. Plus they can give you a route near to your place.
Otherwise, as the other anon said, summer is coming, restaurants/pubs will be hiring.
>>
>>18244397
>You should try going for a post delivery job

But the postal service is going to fire a lot of people in the near future anon.
>>
>>18244401
I meant the paper/commercials delivery persons. I got employed at FK distribution and they seem legit. Plus they told me the even hire refugees so I don't think it gets easier than that. At least until anon finds their dream HR job, might be worth it to try this.
>>
>>18244408
Ah makes more sense. What's your hourly wage?
>>
>>18244418
100DKK.
As I said, not ideal but it's pretty flexible and it allows you to look for other jobs meanwhile.
>>
>>18243403

OP you should look in to the paper delivery thing, if you ever gets back to this thread.

Is it tough to get student jobs in your discipline?
>>
>>18243403
why the fuck didn't you secure a job before you went to the country? then you find an apartment close to your work. maybe suicide is the right thing to do. Seeing as how you cant plan for shit.
>>
>>18243805
>I went to school for psychology and moved to Denmark

You probably need a psychologist to help you fix whatever mental issue made you think that was a good idea.
>>
>>18243805
how in the shit is denmark the country of your dreams?
>>
>>18244638

he's probably a liberal cuck that bought into the scandinavian socialist utopia meme.

>Anons find job for OP
>OP ghosts his thread
>>
>>18243877
Yes, how dare people study what interests them.
>>
>>18244753
To burn through all that money in that time he'd have to spend on average a little more than $200 every single day.

I'd say its possible if he has a drug habit and likes whores.

Anyone have any info on finding a Job in Russia, or eastern europe with a CS degree, certs, and 5 years work experience?

>Will i be fucked
Give it to me straight
>>
>>18245892
Are you Russian?
>>
>>18243403
uni degree with no internship experience is useless
>>
>>18245931
Nope, American
>>
>>18244831
If he is in Denmark spending 200$ a day is more than possible .. rent alone would do it in the capitol. Also food/clothes/commodities are hellishly expensive compared to the US
>>
>>18243805

oh wow. good luck m8
>>
>>18244073
