>go back 7 years ago
>ex leaves me for another dude
>dude constantly talks shit about me and says he hates me so much
>went as far as to call me and make fun of me and my family
>he got the impression I was a scrawny nerdy kid (which I was)
>come to the present
>ex and I patch things up and are friends
>he still hates me and loves to talk shit about me even though he isn't dating my ex anymore
>have started lifting and doing MMA since then
>I'm a bit more apathetic towards him because I've moved on with my life
>still feel enough hatred towards him that I wouldn't pass up the ability to confront him
>never have seen him in person
>finally do and I was literally bigger than him in height and weight
>he is somewhat stunned expecting a scrawny manlet nerd
>he tries to act tough and starts poking me
>tell him that if he tries that one more time his ass would be on the ground
>he touches me
>I hook him right in the jaw and he collapses
>his friends come gathering towards him and ask me "what the hell is wrong with you?"
Was I in the wrong for hitting him? I feel like giving him a warning was good enough for him to think about what he was doing and stop.

you had every right to kick his shit in. you good
>>18232791
As long as there are no legal consequences you're good. I absolutely respect what you did

well, I have a feeling your narration leaves out some nuances which is why you're having doubts publicly. We won't be able to give you an answer, so best you come to one by yourself. I can think of instances where violence is justifiable, sceptic as to whether your predicament called for it.

Well .. he chose to goad you despite being warned there would be repercussions so in my book you did good.
