Stop expecting things to go a certain way, the only thing you can really control in this life is how you feel.

you can't control the big ones, not really. but even when you they don't go the way you want or the way you expect, ti doesn't mean they are going bad, or even if they are going bad it doesn't mean your life is bad.

its kind of like getting a shot at the doctors. it sucks and you can agonize over how much it sucks, but it doesn't stop it from happening, and you already know that despite this you wlil come out on the other side more or less the same.

so if things are at least the same, or you are going to continue with your life, the only thing you can do is be grateful for that and do something you can guarantee happiness, like a nice meal, maybe with a friend, or a trip to the pet store to look at dogs or what have you
