Not wanting friends is terrible. Introvert behavior is something that can be cured. Don't think you have to live your life being this shy person who prefers to be away from others.

What you're lacking is a rewarding positive experience of being with people that would hook you and make you want to hang out with them more. You might have some issues getting a relationship/encounter to develop to where you're really enjoying it or something.

I have a personality disorder that doctors say will compel me to want to stay away from people my whole life. And even I am extremely happy when a social encounter goes well. Introvert behavior is BS.
