I'm a computer science major but don't actually know what kind of things computer science majors do once they get out of college or what internships they go for. Also I'm pretty mediocre at Math.
Help.

you might be in the wrong major my friend.
computer science isn't about computers or science.
it's essentially a math degree with like two programming classes.

Your work will mostly be CRUD shit roles
Frontend - build a website for CRUD shit
Android / iOS - build apps for CRUD shit
Backend - build the application server, which mostly handles requests from clients and does CRUD shit operations to a database
Non CRUD roles
Devops - automate the building, testing, deploying, monitoring of your CRUD applications by being actually a sysadmin who knows linux, docker, and some python
"Data Science" (warning needs math) - run your favorite machine learning algorithms over your user data to help the business milk more money

Well which major lands you internships/careers where you actually work hands-on with technology?

That's pretty much it.
You might get the odd interesting project once in a while, like developping a new scripting language in groovy or implement a new features requiring advanced shit like machine learning or neural networks.

That varies by college and country. Mine was almost all applied and it actually pisses me off because I was considering a PhD but I'll be behind on a lot of theory because I actually did useful things.

Look, I did software engineering in Canada, which didn't have that much math of physics.
Right now, I am reading very dry research papers with loads of maths fine, it takes a while to get accustomed to them however.
