Will quitting video games improve my life? Will it only improve my life if I have a video game addiction? Does having a video game addiction mean I can't play video games again?
Pls respond.
itll improve your life if you do something constructive with the extra time regardless of whether you have an addiction or not

This
If you do quit and continue to sit around doing nothing then your life will not improve.
If you continue playing video games but also do something constructive as well then your life will improve.

So what's your advice? Get another, more constructive, hobby?
I tried to quit
but honestly life is shit if you work more than 40 hours a week and if I'm not working then I've got nothing to do
so fuck that

Yes
Split your time between the two
Force yourself

Sure.
>take up an art of craft
>learn an instrument and/or additional language
>work out
>read up on things that interest you
>go for a long walk on a sunny day
I do all of these and still manage to play videogames for 3-5 hours a day on top of work.

>will quitting video games improve my life?
only if you substitute that time with things that would improve your life. you can get virtually the exact same results if you simply restrict video games to when you are done with everything that needs to be done.
>will it only improve my life if i have a video game addiction
no, even if you were just in a rut or just over indulging yo ucan pull it back. plenty of people arent addicted to something but still spend too much time with it. obsession isn't the same thing as addiction, and even then it doesn't have to be obsession. people often turn to entertainment because they are bored, and then they just enjoy it so much they want more. but most can quit pretty easily.
>does having video game addiction mean i can't play video games again?
depends on what you mean by an addiction, but probably not. most people use the term loosely ,when an addiction is something that really pains you to be wtihout it. and that is possible on a psychological level, but its generally not like alcohol or drugs where you can take 1 drink and go on a bender.
self control is the bigger issue as a whole here.
Playing Video Games is normal, try to limit your playing time to maybe 2 hours a day, but don't go cold turkey.
