At&t has their "next" plan that lets u pay it off in monthly payments with your bill, otherwise ebay is a good place for refurbished phones just make sure the condition specifies its working cause sometimes they sell dead ones for parts

My carrier is T-mobile and I'm not on contract.

Theres refurbished s5 actives around 109-120$ on ebay, they're pretty decent. Ive had alot of different phones but havent wanted anything but samsung after my first one

I was in your position last year. I winged it and went for a Huawei phone. Extremely fucking satisfied. It's actually quite quick, you'll have no issue with lag or anything like that. It's quite large, I've heard the Chinese make large displays... *cough* compensating *cough*.

Anyway, trust me, it's well-worth the price. Believe I've dropped it twice without any damage so even though it's plastic, it's durable as fuck.
