Where can I find short term unskilled work, say a few weeks?
I had a look online most things are longer than that and/or require experience

You tell them you're looking to be there a long time and then you just leave when you feel like it
For the experience part you just gotta be a bit less picky and take rough jobs
You could also develop a skill and then sell those services on a per-project basis

My problem is I'm going away in a few weeks. Also my cash isn't that high so I'm hoping I won't be living off instant noodles and sleeping in a pod the whole time (japan)
Seems a bit of a jerk thing to do lol, but more that I leave in just under a month so it doesn't give a lot of time for going through the process of finding a normal job and leaving.
In terms of experience I'm looking at shitty factory jobs and they still want "experience in the food processing industry" or "an experienced pick packer" etc...
Go to temp agencies. I don't know where you are but around here they'll have names like "LaborReady" or "LaborMax."
Ask if you can work in a warehouse and you'll probably be stacking boxes and moving pallets. Just don't say ahead of time you'll only be there for a few weeks.

Just look up temp agencies, there's always Manpower.
