I want to make a facebook page to comment on politics. I'm center, slightly right leaning. Any advice on how i should name it? I was thinking something along the lines of "Just a random student"
I'm unwilling to be public about it, but i want to discuss with a somewhat protected identity (from people that may know me).

How about you name it "copy+p of every other political commentary page on facebook" Because that's what it'll be.

Actually no. I'm going to specifically talk about politics in a small shitty country, my country. And i'm far more centrist than most facebook commentary pages.
Barely 1% of people in my country think the way i do, if election results are any indicator.
>>
>>18188003
So where are you then?
>>
>>18188006
The country, or politically?
>>
>>18187994
Moderate people are boring. Only the extreme spectrums of political groups get publicity.
>>
>>18188013
I know, i don't plan on getting big, i just want a place to vent where people don't know who i am.
>>
>>18188012
The country.

I guess politically too.

Please don't spout remove kebab memes.
My two preferred candidates just won 1.04% and 1.20% respectively.
While the current government is monopolizing power at 55%, and the main opposition candidate is at 16%. Tho there is hardly any difference between their policies. Their policies are mostly the same, the only difference is that the government uses right wing rhetoric to get away with it.
>>
>>18188031
So are they rightish, leftish? I'm sorry, I confess to ignorance of Serbian politics.
>>
>>18188053
They're all center leftish.
Every candidate above 5% is pro EU, and their core policy is the same. The 16% guy's only difference (bar the rhetoric) is "institution building". His main criticism is that the current government has dismantling and degrading institutions.
Which it has, however, he's backed by the previous ruling party, which started that process, the one which the current government exacerbated and is taking advantage right now.

Literally no one of the big candidates had anything concrete to say about policies, bar "we'll boost wages, and continue reforms, i swear it on me mum".
The candidate that talked most about the economy and economic solutions got a whopping 1,4% (he's 3rd in my book, but i have some problems with him, he breaks down when asked anything other than economics).
My candidates are not socialists, however they both wanted increased childcare spending, increased maternity leave, and reforming maternity leave so that the government covers the expenses instead of employers (to stop women from losing jobs if they want kids).
They also want to get rid of subsidies and cut taxes (the 1,4 % guy does as well).

Also, the 9,4% guy is a literal meme character.

thats actually a funny name you should do that
>>
>>18188069
Also, the current government is described by foreign media as "center right" which is not true.
But given how absurd the party itself is, i don't expect them to understand or attempt to explain it. They just describe it by it's rhetoric.
No right, or even center party in Serbia would have the balls to call Gerhard Schröder to their rallies, pay Tony Blair as an advisor, fund Hillary's campaign and take pictures with Bill at the Clinton foundation.
What do all those politicians have in common? They're all left, they're all no longer in power, and they all bombed Serbian back in 1999.
That explains the level of cognitive dissonance in the Serbian political scene.
They literally held a rally, in which the former German chancellor supported them, on the day that the bombing started.
>Schröder sent forces to Kosovo and to Afghanistan as part of NATO operations. Until Schröder's Chancellorship, German troops had not taken part in combat actions since World War II.
>>
>>18188070
Actually i will.
I'll call it "Yet another political page run by some random student"
>>
>>18188087
Why thank you for taking my idea seriously. No copy right required- Creative Commons licensing I expect full recognition on this page- "name cred goes to a random anon"
>>
>>18188094
Of course, that "about" description fits well with the name.
>>
>>18188100
Good luck with your venting dude. Glad to be of service.
