I recently moved to a new school which seems to be unsafe since it's next to a gypsy settlement, and there are no guards. Sometimes, gypsies follow people in groups and attack them just out of the blue. I wanna get a small knife (like a butterfly one) just for self protection but I have strict parents and there's no chance of telling them. I have no brothers/sisters. Mother occassionaly cleans around the room and she checks drawers etc.
TL:DR any good place to stash a small pocket knife in a room as an only son?
pls reply

I'd recommend checking the local law before doing anything. In some countries bringing any weapons, including a small knife on school grounds or other such public spaces is against the law, or at least your school will probably have rules int his regard. Getting caught with a knife could cause you more trouble than it could offer you protection.
If you want a knife, just for the sake of having one, however, taping it somewhere where it won't be noticed might work, like under bed or desk or other such places. Or carve out an old book and place it there. Or if you have a desk top PC, you could probably open the casing and put it there. Just use some imagination, you know the potential hoping spots better, because you actually know what stuff you have in your room.
Most of my friends carry it because of gypsies in the neighbourhood and it's legal according to local law. I'd be just carrying it in my pocket to feel safe, wouldn't really use it. My PC case is placed so it's really hard to open it and close it because it'll cause a mess. Also, how do you do the book carve thing? Never done it before.

Why not get some mace instead? It would likely be more useful than a small knife should a group follow you
