This is a cyst. It hurts like a bitch and I can't get a drs aptt for a month. He'll just send me to a dermatologist costing more money/time yadda yadda. Should I cut it /adv/? Or is it too risky?
A lot of girls have a fetish for this shit. Let them lance that bitch.
NO! septicaemia
My boyfriend had one in the same spot. He said the removal was incredibly painful even with anesthetic. You'll probably take longer to get the procedure done, and there's a high risk of infection if you do it yourself. If you don't get all of it out, it could come back. With it being right along your neck, I really don't think you should mess with it. You're better off making yourself as comfortable as possible until you can have it removed by a professional.

Just make an appointment with a dermatologist yourself -- you can find them online or just ask friends/family. You know you can do that, right? You don't HAVE to be referred to specialists by your GP.
Do not take matters into your own hands and cut it, you fucking idiot.
If you do attempt this, which would be increadibly stupid, get a pressure cooker to sterilize any instruments you will use.
If it's a proper cyst then it will be surrounded by a sac which needs to be removed or the cyst will reform. Removing the sac really requires anesthesia because they tend to be bonded to the surrounding tissue and often need to be cut out, at least partially.
You can probably nick it and drain it yourself with out too much risk or pain, so long as everything is sterile and gloves are worn, which should reduce any pain it causes you, but probably don't do it anyway.
Your GP may be willing to excise a small cyst without sending your to a dermatologist.
