im 21 and losing my hair quickly, its taking a HUGE toll on my self esteem and confidence, I've become severely depressed and can no longer even socialize normally since i first started noticing the thinning out of my hair. luckily i have enough money to afford a transplant, but people say i shouldn't have the surgery done at such a young age (Im in the prime of my life and i can't enjoy anything) should i go through with the surgery? why or why not? will there be a cure for hair loss in the next few years?
Go for it

There is already a "cure", it's finasteride and you will probably have to take it anyway after the transplant (so you don't lose the hair you still have), the transplant will just fix your hairline. Also be aware that finasteride can chemically castrate you.
My recommendation is just deal with it and shave your hair, if you have a decent face there should be no problem.

I'm on finasteride already and don't have a decent face- don't really want to post pictures of that though. i noticed that when i first started taking the finasteride my sex drive lowered considerably but it seems to have bounced back over the past few weeks

I feel for you m8, I really do. I'm sorry you have to deal with it at such a young age. Fingers crossed they find something to restore this shit. Maybe stem cells or something

God willing Anon. It's bad enough at any age, really. But we're at the age where people are at their most materialistic, stay strong famalam.
