I stored a dry bud in two plastic bags, in a pill capsule, with some tissue padding, surrounded by rice, in a tin can, sealed with hot glue around the rim. I checked and its air tight (water test)
Will this weed keep for a year? This is more of an experiment. I know it's easier to just buy more weed in a year.

No. There are bacteria, mold and fungi that will attack and spoil it. Any tech you use will just slow the inevitable. Try doing something productive with your life.

Yes, I know that. Also that second statement is not true.
But I'm not asking if it will last forever. I'm asking people who store and keep these things regularly if I've used enough 'tech' to 'slow the process' for a year specifically.
No need to trigger yourself.

everything decays you shithead weedster. You just postpone it by stashing shit away. Doesn't mean it'll last for all eternity.

just buy a vacuum sealer for like $50 from walmart and some bags and seal it and then freeze it.

I'm not wasting the money. I'm asking how long will it last the way I stashed it?

And my response is.... fossils.
Or fossilized remains rather. Ever seen a piece of amber?

Fossils are organic matter that have calcified and turned into rock.

A friend of mine told me that he once found a bag of weed he left in a safe 3 years before and forgot about, and when he smoked he got a mild buzz, so presumably it should keep for a year as long as it's dry and in an airtight bag.
