Do you mind if I ask what physical limitations you have as a result? If you aren't able to use your arms or hands for instance, that would rule out several suggestions.
What interests or hobbies did you have prior to your injuries?

Maybe try to learn a new language or play an instrument? Drum sticks, a practice pad and a book of snare rudiments from Amazon would get you started, and it is something you could do on your bed in a chair.
Piano apps suck because you usually only get one octave on your device screen, but you could start to learn scales and chords. Teoria is a good website for learning music theory.

I spent half a year in physical therapy following a collision. I was on a ton of opiates and muscle relaxers for my injuries, and couldn't do much but prop up in a chair and game with a damned near useless right arm and hand.

If you are on heavy medication, it would be difficult to engage in cerebral activities. That's why I just vegged in game with friends.
