Honestly, I consider myself average looking at best. I'm not social at all. Most of the time I'm in the front of my computer. I don't work out and I'm overweight. I don't look fat but once I rise my shirt there is quite the belly.

There is the thing. I usually don't sweat much, compared to other people. There are two instances I stink, one when I'm ill or about to become so, second when I got bacteria (those are usually produce stinky smell) on my body I'm not used to.

Other than that I can smell "sweaty" for sure, after two weeks without bath but again, I don't smell like shit or anything. Even my shit usually doesn't smell bad. It still smells like shit so don't get me wrong but more like the last food I ate, compared to other people shit that smells like something dead crawled out of their body and I had the non-pleasure to get into the area of impact in public toilets.

About Pheromones, I wonder. It might be related to it but there is no good way to test it for sure. While I've got a thick skin and don't give a fuck for a lot of things, I'd rather not go up to a female and ask "Yo, smell my nutsack for a bit and tell if you feel hornier, k?".

About smell, hygiene and health. I had skin problems, a lot of pimples and dry red places. I found out that it was actually better for my skin if I don't destroy the natural barrier with intensive "hygiene". Usually, if it's itchy, it's time to wash up but daily shower could isn't good for me I found out. Yeah, I'll still do it if I know I'll be in contact with people everyday but usually I'm not so I can be "lazy" in this aspect.

Some people sweat less than others and smell better in general (Some whole ethnicities naturally smell better -- sounds like BS but it's true, look up the difference between western and East Asian sweat glands.) Still, whoever you are, I can PROMISE you that after two fucking weeks you're still getting pretty gross, and also that you're not fully aware of just how gross you smell.

As for pheromones, people talk about them a lot, and they're not necessarily wrong, but no chemical acting as a pheromone (in humans) has ever been chemically isolated. Never. And people have researched this. Certainly nothing in sweat seems to act that way. So treat that idea with healthy skepticism at least.

Also, there is an enormous middle ground between "two weeks between showers" and "wash your whole body with soap every day." Like, oh, I don't know, splashing your face with water daily and washing certain key areas with soap every two days, only taking full-on showers a couple times a week.

I have no idea why that would be. Maybe you're the one human being out of 7 billion or so who smells better when he doesn't wash for 2 weeks. More likely it's confirmation bias and you don't really get hit on any more frequently when you don't shower, or there's some alternate explanation -- you feel more comfortable and confident when you don't wash up and that's evident in the way you walk, or whatever. Who knows.

Either way, it's on you, dude. I'm almost certainly never going to meet you. I recommend you shower more often -- I agree that we go a little overboard today with daily showers, but there is a middle ground -- but by all means, feel free to not take my advice.

I think too much hygiene ist good either and my impression of too much is probably a bit different from others but in the end this is there very reason I even openend this thread.
