So my mother is a psycho alcoholic mess, and I'm thinking about cutting all contact with her.

I've given her so many chances to get her shit together and try to salvage our relationship over the past few years, shes been to rehab and other programs several times, but every time she ends up taking advantage of me or someone else in my family. The rest of my family has stopped talking to her altogether, including my two older sisters and her husband (not my father), and I'm basically the only one left in her life. She's suicidal and tried to overdose last year and that's basically the only reason I haven't completely shunned her yet, but I have to ask: when should I say enough?

Every time she relapses or has an episode it puts an incredible amount of stress on my already stressful life between work and school and whatnot, and since I'm the only person left in contact, I have to bear the full brunt of it.

I really don't feel like I should have to babysit my own mother, but she'll likely try to commit suicide instead of trying to fix her life.

Any advice?
