I mean I was at my relatives house last weekend and their 11 year old daughter was singing rae seummerd and the weeknd.

And it also freaks me out that like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez were both on Disney channel, but are so wild now. And these are the people our youth look up to.

It is like, if society is filthy, animalistic, hedonistic, etc. then why don't we just admit it and resort to Neanderthalic chaos? Why pretend like we're better than we are?

I used to think people who said "rock n' roll was the Devil's music" were crazy, but despite the hyperbole, they have a point.

I think the key is not to expect perfection. There are people that are inherently just less shitty than others, but you can't hold them up to some intangible super standard. Any kind of relationship, even friendships, are about compromise and finding common ground.

Good people are out there. They're just buried in the vocal majority of the shitty society we live in. You just have to be willing to accept that humans are inherently flawed and fickle creatures.
