i dropped out of community college last year. And i'm not sure if I should go back or not.

I'd be taking on some extra debt, but i'd really like to get a degree for once.

Fuark, if i do this i'm going to have to commit 100%

Go to a trade school and get an associates in ECONMST. it's electrical construction and maintanence. After two years you can land a Union job with full benefits and 50k statring pay. Set for life

I'm going for an IT degree. Entry level help desk technicians get 66k in Australia, but it's not about the money. It's just something I really wanted to do but i don't know if i'm actually going to do the work or not

i hear welding is good. and if u really want money, water welding. big death rate however

What you really need are IT certs, but an AA will be
A big plus and may even give a decisive edge when job hunting. A little extra debt but nothing like a uni would be.

I'd say go for it. IT was a bit too much indefinite study for me, but I was very interested in cybersecurity at one point so I could be a 1337 5up4 ha><0r

Make sure you are looking into tuition forgiveness. Many states offer reduced or no cost tuition programs, especially CA. If you only take a few hard classes at once, it's easier to focus hard and master what you are doing.

Try to find out what books you need and buy them in advanced used from amazon or half.com

or at the very least, at a higher percentage than you were going at when you left.

if you don't feel you can muster than now, then dont bother, you'll just get more debt.

I dropped out of community college in 2011-2012 because I was moving out of state. I had to put my college plans on hold until I moved to the state I wanted to settle in (Colorado). I finally got here and I'm on disability. I can't work a job that earns more than a certain amount otherwise I'll lose my benefits. They have a ticket to work program that lets me go back to school but I'm stuck. I don't know what I like anymore, or what to major in. I'm scared that if I go back, I'll just be going into debt chasing my tail around with 0 clue of what I want to do in life, like I am right now. Is college worth it?
