Can I sue my ISP because they claim I have 1000GB download but they claim a GB is 1000MB not 1024MB?

I don't know
From what I heard any ISP is rounding available data you have
It was maybe written on your contract in that case you can't do anything

you will go into a lot of fucking debt even if you win your silly lawsuit

also the judge is probably going to be 60+ and they're going to get pissed that you're wasting the courts time with silly technicalities

Since the only way to max that out on yourown is torrenting 24/7 I advice against it .. consider it collateral damage and enjoy your pirated flicks

1000MB is 1 GB

You're thinking of mebibytes and gibibytes where:
1024 MiB is 1GiB.

Mega and Giga are decimal prefixes, 10^6 and 10^9 respectively.

Mebi and Gibi are binary prefixes, 2^20 and 2^30 respectively.

More often that not though, when something is listed as GB on your computer, it's actually in GiB.

I believe they claim it to be a "Gb". Notice the lower case. They're different. Gigabit not gigabyte.

t. man who would do research against lawsuit no matter how hypothetical

Same guy here

just thought I'd add 2^10 is 1024 which is why when you go up (2^20, 2^30 etc.) the next is 1024 times the last. In decimal prefixes (10^3, 10^6, 10^9 etc.), the next is 1000 times greater than the last

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
