How do I help a suicidal friend...

I'm shit at advice and I don't know how to help.

He refuses to find a therapist, and get professional help/talk to his family.

Can you not physically go to him? If you are around it is much less likely he will attempt anything. Right now you're kinda just playing with fire, especially if he stops responding. Go be with him.
