Sometimes I feel like you do, anon but I think the struggle is false. Like the people in this thread said, if you feel inferior for not having a gf then you need to fix that feeling before you can make any progress. Maybe I need to keep that in mind for my own benefit.

You're probably a guy like me who feels like they need to validate their own life to other people. Isn't that just sad? We get so jealous of the people that live and have fun just for the sake of it, we want to be just like them but we can't it's impossible. The reason it's impossible is we have a greater need for our place in the world to makes sense. Every time I try to talk to a girl, the feeling that bites me in the ass says "why are you doing this? You don't need this. You need to be building your future and she can only hold you back."

Nobody wants to date a guy who has an existential crisis from small talk. I guess we need to make something of ourselves before we try to meet our basic human needs.
