So, I've been thinking of making a career change and I'm not really sure which direction to go in. I don't have anybody I can really talk to about this either.
Currently I work as a diesel engine and power generator diagnostic a day repair technician. It's an OKAY job. But takes a real toll on the body.
Lately I've been thinking of going back to school for either electrical engineering or something to do with computers. More likely programming.
I'm not really too sure which one I want to do and whether or not it'd be worth it at this point. I've been doing this line of work for about 11yrs now.

You're about 30 now. Picture yourself as you would like to be at 40. Be specific - are you living in a house or apartment? Married or single? Kids? City, town or country? What SORT of job? White collar, blue collar? Office, store, plant, outdoors? Self-employed or employee?
Now work backwards. What would have to happen between now and then for you to get there? School, college, training? Live where you are or move? Drop some friends? Make new ones?
Now think forwards. What would be the first step in the process you just took backwards?
Take it.

Huh, that's actually pretty good advice. I think I know what needs to happen.
Thanks bud!
