I had a key to her house (I guess 2 years into our relationship?) and she told me to wait for her at her house. Her mom was never home, so I was on my laptop, and decided to read her diaries.
Found out she still had feelings for a previous fling early on in our relationship (3 months in) and kept reading. I almost blew it 4 months in when I lost it on her for playing a certain artist that I can't fucking stand. Entries became shorter and farther apart as our relationship progressed. The last entry was how proud she was I got promoted at my job.

We live together and are engaged now (5 years together). Weird to think that it almost ended so early though...

I threw my ex-gf through a wooden screen separating the rooms of my studio apartment apart. We had a really terrible relationship, physically abused each other, that sorta thing. It ended the night she stabbed me, I pulled the knife out of my shoulder and stabbed her back with it. We both had to go to the hospital and we nearly got arrested.

It was the worst relationship I've ever been in and close to the worst one I've even heard of. It was a long time ago and I am deeply ashamed of it even to this day.

As I kid, I was mentally abused for 11 years by my stepfather, and once physically attacked by my dad. I'm not sure how it all affected me, but I am really fearful that I will become abusive too. Although I have never hit any of my significant other, I still feel like garbage because I do mentally abuse them. When i was 13, i tried to kill myself by a overdose of sleeping pills, i lost my conscience for three days and the only thing i remember of those days was me beating my mom, kicking her in the floor and grabbing her by the hair. I thought it was my imagination for years until she told me what happend while she cried.

Had a terribly abusive ex. They abused me in every way possible. Even after we broke up they still tried to control me through mental abuse.

Finally a potential new partner told me it wasnt okay to put up with that bullshit.

My ex constantly threatened suicide as a way to control me. When they came to dump my shit on my doorstep they started to argue with me. I saw they were going to just leave it at that and i wasnt satisfied. So when they turned around to go, i said "dont you dare go home and threaten suicide" and of course they turned back around and threatened to kill themselves lol in front of my friends my witnesses

I waltzed right back into my house, called the police, but that fucker on suicide watch for a whole week. The police took all their guns away (they were one of those red neck gun families)

It was nice to manipulate them back for a change. Later their mom called me to blame me for their "suicidal thoughts." I called her a bitch, told her maybe she should have paid more attention to her kids, and told her to never call me again and hung up.
