Folks need IT, and will need more in the coming decade. If I make any money at all during my miserable stretch of time on this barren corner of the planet, then I am probably going to need to spend some of it on someone who knows their shit with intertex.
Why didn't you learn shit? Was it just too fucking hard? Looked too big at a glance? Much like law or medicine, there are many completely different jobs in IT and you will gradually get good at the one you perform if you perform diligently.
Entry level IT means plugging people's computers back in for them. Granted the entry level of everything is shot to hell the past 9 years, but if you can be mobile and apply broadly then you'll probably find a place if you can hack the schooling.
My advice is to go right back to studying, and nail it this time. You can study with youtube if you can stomach the hideous voices of youtubers while they point the camera straight at their face and talk. You can go into another tab to hide their smug hipster face.
