/adv/, I need some advice.
I had an older guy (50 something) invite me to lunch and ask me for my phone number at my job. To be polite, I gave it to him, but I don't want to lead him on. He's been texting me and I've been a bit afraid to respond, because 1.) I want to be polite and let him know that I'm not interested in him in that way and 2.) he seems like he might have issues. What do?

do what i do.
ignore him, then at some point he'll probably call you uot on ignoring him then say
>GAWD IM A BUSY PERSON WITH A LIFE I WAS AT WORK / WITH MY MOTHER RIGHT NOW I DIDNT HAVE TIME TO RESPOND, YOU'RE SO IMMATURE, WERE DONE TALKING.

"I don't think it's a good idea for us to continue texting, i don't want you to get any ideas" Although if he's smooth he'll game you up, countering that shit. Just say you're not interested, senpai
If you aren't interested in someone then just flat out tell them and then say fuck off if they don't get it the first time around.
Do you know how annoying it is when a guy gets a girl's number and she'll text back and act "polite" but has no intention of taking it further? If you aren't interested just say no. Any decent guy will just say "okay w/e" and move on with his life.

OP here, I politely declined and told him that I didn't want to lead him on, but I would be down for getting coffee as friends. He's a good guy who seems lonely
