I just noticed my hairline receded a bit at the temples, kinda like pic related but even less so, at least for now. Less than like 1cm at the corners, tops, but still.
It's only visible when I pull it back and specifically look for it, so I don't know if it was always there and I just noticed after the haircut. The hair "line" itself is completely straight otherwise and if I don't pull it back it looks solid. However, I noticed some recession on the sides as well.
I searched the internet and there seemed to be a lot of guys around 19-21 going through the same thing, and the conclusion seemed to be that it's normal, it "matures" at around this age and usually doesn't develop further. My father still has a full head of hair at 50, my mom's father I don't know because she was adopted. Otherwise my head is full of thick hair. I have big locks.
Is this invariably a sign of balding or can it be "normal" to an extent?
fucking lmao this is nothing, literally a straight hairline
kys yourself
God I'd kill to have just a slight receding.
Just accept that you might be receding, and live with it. When my hairline started creeping back at the temples I would obsessively check it once a week and compare it to past photos of myself, etc.
It's not worth worrying about in the long run, especially with hair replacement techniques getting better and better, if it really bothers you that is.

lmao
Some people have that type of hairline and never go bald, it's normal in most cases.
