I'm getting my ass beat this semester by three of my science classes. All of them require a shit load of study time and understanding the concepts. Any free time I have (which is basically never) is usually devoted to doing work or studying for those classes because there's so much shit to understand and I'm usually at a disadvantage by not knowing everything or being up to date. Anyway, there's a girl I see every so often working at the dining hall on my campus. She's always really nice to me and we talk for a bit before I leave off with my food. I'd totally date her but I feel like I won't have enough time to spend with her when I could be spending that time studying for my classes which I really need to focus on. Because where I stand now with my classes, I'm not doing too well.
tl;dr want to date a girl but i'm a busy motherfucker. is it reasonable to not date her because of how busy i am?

I always thought it was odd to have a partner whilst studying. Or at least to start a relationship as you're studying. Because not only will you inevitably be busy, as you say, but you will have this whole person to get to know and be able to devote some amount of your spare time to. It's too time consuming and you're risking a break-up that could potentially send you down depression avenue, which would completely screw up your grades.

Your wellbeing, academic or otherwise, comes first. Get your studies under control while you have the chance, or you'll regret tanking grades.
