I Had a friend almost do this last week. Thanks to the anons giving reasons here, I stopped him just in time.

Only thing is, they still have feelings for each other.

Their point is this: It would affect workplace environment, performance, and especially make things awkward in social settings, HR even more so.

Someday, a breakup will happen, and a fallout would occur. It's not a matter of if, but when it would happen, and how severely it would affect everyone else (even the bystanders).

TL:DR, don't do it unless you're a temp, a fast food guy, or work in different areas in the building. Otherwise, you'll fuck up everything at work.
