If you're interested in Buddhism, simply begin your practice. right now. begin to read about Buddhism. if you have access to a temple, why not visit? if you don't, start with the story of the Buddha. Read about his life, his career as a teacher, and his death.
Branch out and research different schools of Buddhism. See if anything appeals to you.
