So there's a girl who comes into my cafe. Usually she just orders and leaves. We've sat and talked with a mutual friend once before and we got along pretty well. I think she's cute and she flirts with me when she comes in. I think I might wanna ask her out but she comes in very rarely. Today was the first time in probably a month or two and a lot of times it's really not convenient to talk to a customer because we're so busy.
I could always ask our mutual friend to set us up, but here's the problem: The mutual friend has asked me out before. Multiple times. She's got a massive crush on me. The last time she asked she was practically begging and it was a huge turn off. And if I were to ask her about her friend she'd probably get upset. But she's pretty much my most likely avenue to meet with this girl.
Do I ask her? Do I just wait a few weeks to a month and probably not even be able to take the opportunity? What do?
Question: is this girl worth potentially losing your friend over?

Honestly I wouldn't be worried. When I say friend I really mean acquaintance I see a lot and occasionally text. It's more that I don't want her to feel bad or slighted.

Then ask her out next time you see her. You don't owe your friend/acquaintance anything, but it'd just be a dick move to get her to get you in contact with the other girl.
