So, I've been really struggling the past 6 months with my finances, and it looks like I'm going to have a rough month. I'll be lucky if I have anything left over for food. This has me worried, and frankly pretty depressed. Can anyone help me sort this shit out?
well food banks are a thing
so are jobs (plural)
>Can anyone help me sort this shit out?

How much money do you have left for the month (after paying rent?)
Do you donate blood-plasma?
Last month I managed to survive fine with 240€

Give or take $935 but my car is $300 (including insurance) those are my two major expenditures. Most of what's left over goes to little bills that add up. Usually I have $150-200 left over for food/entertainment. Frankly, I could be better at managing my money.

I once calculated that I can live from about 4€ a day.
Donating plasma is really great. Where I live you can do that about once a week and get 20€ for it.
I manage my finances by figuring out how much money i have availlable each day / week, its pretty effective

That's a good idea. I usually just withdraw what I need to pay my bills with and try to buy stuff like gas/food with whatever's left over. With my bills that come in the mail, I have a couple weeks' notice so I usually pay those as soon as I have the money but your way seems a little more... organized.

150-200 is not much at all for food but certainly doable.
Lots of rice, pasta, beans and veggies. I could get a week's worth of meals in beans, rice pasta and veggies for like 25 bucks.

How old are you? Do you have a significant other? Do you live in a city, and if so how big? Is your job really time consuming?
Can't help you without that info

>how old are you
22
>do you have significant other
Been single for 4 years with no end in sight.
>do you live in a city, how big?
Yes. Not that big, but we have a naval shipyard so rent is too damn high.
>is your job time consuming?
I work ~40 hrs/wk

Don't buy off amazon as much as I used to; only buy products I can't find in stores. Want to Uber. Might actually look into that again. My car might be too old. Have a credit card that's maxed out (had to furnish my new apartment)

Smart. Goes against how I normally pay for things >>18096041 which leaves me scrambling for the bills that actually effect my future (i.e. credit)
