Senior in High School, first time on /adv/. I have a crush on a girl I've known since Middle School, but haven't talked with much since we haven't had any shared classes.
Even though we're on good terms, It's hard for me to try and initiate conversation, most I've done is a brief greeting when we pass. Any advice?

Yes. Ask her out. Pick and activity that you want to do together, and if she asks you "You mean as a date?" say "Yes." If you only see her in passing, then ask her if she has a moment to talk, and if she says "yes" then ask her.

If she has a boyfriend just leave her be and go out with someone else. If she ain't a dickhead she will politely reply that she has a relationship and you'll just say "oh didn't know that, well anyways it was a nice walk, see you at school tomorrow", you smile and wave at her in the least awkward way possible.
