So a friend of mine (A) talks about his friend (B) or mentions him a lot when we go out or when in conversation or just generally talking.

He will always mention a time he had with this person and every meme he tags him in. Anyway, this didn't bug me at all first but it has progressively got frustrating to hear about this guy who I don't know or care about almost every day I spend with him. Literally this guy I met once 1.5 years ago is on my mind all the time because all I hear is B this, B that, etc.

Among this frustration I held back before I lashed out at A for talking about him. I was going to say, "hey I don't really want to hear about B at all," and hope he stops.

We are both each others best friends and I honestly do get a bit jealous at times. Like when A tags others in memes and not me, etc. Anyway, he has put a sour taste in my mind for B because I don't really care to meet him now and/or get to know him because all I hear is his name non stop. A and B barely even see each other like what is this worship or whatever it is?

Anyway, is it worth mentioning or something? Won't ruin the friendship at all but I am so sick of seeing B this, B that.

Chill, you are not his GF dude. He can have more than one friend. It's fine to say he obsesses too much, but don't do it out of jealousy.
