Please listen to my tip, PLEASE. It has nothing to do with autism but I tell this to everyone who has a baby:

- You. Must. Breast Feed.

The human face is remodeled beautifully when the baby is breast fed thoroughly. If you want your son to be cool/popular/normal/not homely, PLEASE for the love of God breast feed him so his face grows properly.

I swear to God if you don't breast feed him you'll fail him in a way. He needs the suckling tongue motion, it literally reshapes his growing facial bones to be aesthetic.

Feed him hard foods, don't let him hang his mouth open. Breast feed THOROUGHLY so his tongue learns to swallow properly, which molds his facial bones into an attractive shape.

This is the best advice I can give you. Please do this, many mothers don't and their children are ugly because of it. He'll at least be kind of handsome if you don't neglect the basic need to breast feed.

Discipline. Make sure they focus on studies and extra social activities. Make sure they don't get to addicted to the internet. Limit their time. Make sure he know your a parent not a friend and not to take you lightly. 3-5 years are very important. Make sure you teach them to read and write a bit. Keep them active. Get them interested into a sport. Stuff like this. Anyway best of luck.

I can partially blame my lack of social skills on growing up in a remote community, but I also put it down to having a games console and TV in my room from the age of 13.

Also, use the filters on the family computer. Strictly, otherwise he WILL start looking up porn at the age of 12 and it WILL fuck him over. He's going to masturbate a lot either way, but it's better if he doesn't have access to porn.

Social interaction is pretty much the best thing you can do. I was called "gifted" back before gifted meant autistic, and my parents made it a point to make sure I socialized with other kids. I'm 22, and can handle social situations just as well as the average person.

But really, I think you have the wrong attitude about this. It's your kid. You should love your child no matter what. The impression I'm getting from you is that you're more worried that your kid's going to be a black mark on your image than you are about your ability to raise a functional adult.
