So I don't have many talents, but I think I am reasonably good at problemsolving. Another strong point of mine is my determination to accomplish things I want to accomplish. And since I really like doing computer shit, I almost naturally tumbled into the world of code.
The thing is, I am only 17, and I am 2 years away from finishing highschool, so I can't study computer sciences just yet. But as I said, I WILL accomplish anything I set my mind to, but I don't have the funds or social skills to get good at writing scripts and networking etc..
How should I go about gaining knowledge and skill in things ranging from encryption to scripting? Google and trial and error are painstakingly slow I have found.
>how do I get started writing scripts
open up a text editor, type some JavaScript , render it in the browser.

I already know how to write scripts in JS and PHP and how to implement it in webpages. But how do I gain knowledge on writing "real" programs.
To be more specific; I am really interested in the security side of ICT. I'd love to learn how it's done and get really good at it, but where to start?
