It feels like a crisis, but it is only as big a problem as you make it. You will start your day, and no matter what happens, you will reach the end of it just fine. You'll be fine. Don't worry about what might happen, just attend to what the present moment requires and all will be well.

Haven't been in a situation like this but I certainly know how bad anxiety attacks makes us feel and the embarrassment that comes afterwards. Take a deep breath and try to tell yourself that the next day is going to be as awkward as you want it to be.

Think about what you'd think of someone who makes the same mistake. Most people don't care much about it. Expect some jokes on you early on but they aren't meant to hurt you. It is fun seeing someone fuck up after all.
