How do you cope with being weird/lame/boring/whatever you want to call it? That quality that makes people not wanna be around you? That's what I am. I have some redeeming qualities and some people like me for some reason but I'm always the pet weirdo at best. Someone you would pass the time with at work but not hang out with on the weekend. I don't have enough self-awareness to be likeable but I have enough to hate myself for it. And I have this unwarranted sense of self importance which makes no sense and makes me think I'm insane. I want to kill myself sometimes. I don't think I'll make it to 30 like this

Not very well. Age hasn't made it better for me. I wish I had given therapy a try when I was younger, but I'm not sure how much it would have even helped. It's a very lonely and sad way to live but unfortunately we aren't given much of a choice.

Its because people like you worry too much. Especially of what others think of you. You can tell when someone is being needy or desperate because they have no friends and the nice thing to do would be to be a friend but its very off putting. Have more confidence and stop giving a fuck. Attitude and backbone can get you far. Its not about self awareness or lack there of, its about being real and being yourself. Eventually lime minded people will recognize this person is cool and comfrotable with themselves, which will make them want to be your friend. Nothing wrong with being weird, just gotta find some weirdos to hang with
