The other day someone mentioned that I was the nicest, most genuine person they've met. Then another person chimed in and said the same thing in agreement. That's really all I get from people.
The thing is, I don't feel like it. I'm polite, nice and welcoming because I was raised that way. In reality I pretty much hate everyone I meet and if I could I'd just use them until they're not useful to me anymore. I do that right now but not intentionally, and I mean as long as you're nice and kind right? I don't know, I feel fake but I'm not sure what to do about it /adv/.

I feel the same way. Often am I complemented for being nice or great at doing a job etc. I feel like I'm being made fun of more than complemented, and I've even questioned it before.
I feel like I'm too unrelatable to normies so they just say things to feel less awkward around me.
