Fallen on hard times, financially speaking (unemployed). Wondering what happens if I don't pay by bills. Like I have had Verizon for 3 years. Paid in full every month. Will they cut my line after another month? Longer? Also my credit card nearly maxed out, and wont be able to pay. Do I just get a bunch of PAY US letters?

Don't know about Verizon but generally what happens with businesses is that if you don't pay, you'll start getting lettters and calls about it. Then it'll be passed to their internal debt team who will continue to pester you. Past a point, your service will be terminated for lack of payment and you may incur interest on the debt. Failing collection with internal debt management, your bill will be passed to a debt collection agency. And then it's basically game over. These guys do not fuck around and their sole reason for existing is to shake down people for money. Your international credit rating will be forever fucked. I'm not sure what DCA advanced strategy/method/tactics are, and I dont really want to find out.

I know that like in the past my mom has accumulated debt, say the electric bill, and they would eventually cut the power. But like I need my phone for potential interviews. Bill due the 8th. Im hoping if I partially pay it, say 50%, they wont fuck with the service. Its due on the 8th, just dont want it to be like the 10th and see no service.
