Any waiterfags on /adv/? I think I would be good at it, and I'm pretty fed up with retail at this point, so I want to try something different. Where do you guys work/where did you work? Best company to be a waiter for?

You don't start as a waiter.

That's pretty vague. I just mean like a server at village inn, not some kind of high class restaurant, if that's what you're getting at.
>>18073088
why would a village inn hire you as a waiter without any experience?
>>18073212
I have some restaurant experience, along with customer service, so I'm not THAT in the dark.

what restaurant experience
I wish a dish washer for 3 weeks or so.

would you really put that on a resume, a job you didn't even hold for a month?
that's also not relevant experience, even if you'd been a dishwasher for 3 years it wouldn't mean anything. The only relevant experience is waiter, food runner, busboy, barback, or bartender.

Well guess I gotta get one of those then, huh?

Just be nice to the oysters, they're shy and it's tough to get them out of their shell.

yep, most larger restaurants will start you as a food runner or busboy then move you up pretty quick if you aren't a fuckup though. Being a waiter can be kinda tricky if you've never done it before.
