Hi /adv/.
I struggle with schizophrenia. I'm currently on medication, but the depression that comes with it is quite strong still. I've self-harmed before, but my parents and therapist are telling me that it's not beneficial. I know they're right, but I just had a really shitty day and I'm feeling really tempted to cut again.
Can you guys help me? How do I resist the urge to cut?

Yeah I like what he said. But if it makes you feel better OP, I've thought about this before, but decided that it wouldn't do anything to benefit my situation. So that's how you need to think of it. It really wont change anything, so why do it? But at the same time, I know what you mean.

A friend taught me this. Whenever the urge comes, place an ice cube on the area you want to cut yourself instead of cutting yourself there.

There was a dude in another thread that had
the same issue and suggested working out
till you're sore. It may help you.
