At the age of 27, I'm finally moving out to my own apartment with a friend. Previously, I've just sublet places with friends who already had furniture so I was set.
So now I'm looking at beds. How the fuck do I choose something that doesn't fucking murder my wallet? Should I just go for a Casper and a flat platform bed?
Also, I didn't want to make another thread about this, but I have a weird thing about blankets. I have to sleep specifically about a blanket because it's the only blanket the doesn't irritate my feet.
If I for some reason have to use another blanket, I have to wear socks and that is not the most comfortable thing to do. It's to the point where I can't sleep well because my feet become so irritated from wearing socks to bed or using a blanket that irritates my feet. Is there anything I can do about this?
I reread my post and I know it sounds like autism, but it's really just my feet - I promise I don't throw a tantrum if I can't sleep with my blanket.
pls halp

yes, beds are expensive in general. a queen bet rail set only is around $100, and a mattress with box combo is usually around $600 for one that will last about 5 years. then about $200 for bedding and stuffs.
suck it up. You're an adult now.
I cut costs by asking relatives and found one had a spare bedframe for the size I needed. Got it for free as long as I hauled it. From there I just shopped around and eventually found a mattress place that had a sale going on.
I would just shop around, maybe ask friends but don't cheap out. Sleeping on a shitty bed sucks and a lack of quality sleep will mess up your day.
And I have no idea what you're saying about blankets. You don't like them touching your feet?

have you tried coating your feet in vaseline before putting the socks on before bed?

Thanks, I'll try this.
Also, I'm only fine with with with one specific blanket touching my feet. I can do other blankets, but it makes my feet incredibly uncomfortable. Also, the vaseline thing sounds like it would make it way worse.
