Programming makes dosh right
One of the few "trades"/skills that one can make money with.
Flappy bird, literally 10 lines of code and it steals Mario assets for graphics made 50,000 USD while it was still in the mainstream stores.

The reality is most game devs won't make jack shit at first. Even if their games are sort of fun.
Knowing how to code will get you somewhere, but not all the way. You need to be passionate about code

Its a numbers game for some. But honestly, its worth it when your game is populat with ALL the demographics that own a mobile device. Mobile gaming revealed that NEETs aren't the only one gaming. Grown and working men rely on video games to escape their 'horrible' lives.
I say make a quick fun game that is accessible to everyone and every age. Flappy Bird was that and that shit even kindergardners can kode in Scratch.

I'm going the computer engineering path. If I do well I might do something significant, if it turns out that I'm a mediocre piece of shit for this too, then at least I can bullshit my way in an IT job.
Its a win-"win" situation.
