I try to do this most of the time. I just feel like they'll be dissapointed when they find out. Like of course I don't tell them outright I've been that long, but it doesn't take long (usually the very next question) before they ask 'for how long?' I think another reason for my being embarassed by this is that I usually talk with plenty of much younger girls (20-22) that are at my level.

Im 26 and about to finish college, put off the gf thing because I was too embarrassed as well. I work part time and school full time, so Im not a complete waste of life. I work out at night, so I can stay in shape and my body is good.

I dont know what degree you're getting but I do CS and college isn't that hard. Do what I do map out the amount of time you can reasonably expect to graduate and stick to it.

The way I did it was shut off outside noise. I put down the video games, the pot, the drinking, and I tend to over do it with golf/skiing, so I slowed those down.

Reward yourself for meeting your goals too. Break it down piece by piece.

I want a gf too, but I know after I finish I have a decent job hopefully I'll get a gf. I'll literally take any girl who isn't too fat. Let's face it, at 26 just starting a career, Im no fucking prize. That's just me being honest with myself.
