18 year old high school graduate just wondering what I can do to insure that I'm not working class for the rest of my life.
I've lived in poverty my whole live, in a highly populated city and I'm just not ready to fall into the cycle. I know I'm smarter than the vast majority of my peers and highly capable of accomplishing big things.
Go to college and major in a STEM field

Everyone out of high school thinks like this, but fail to realise that it doesn't matter one bit how smart you are if you're unwilling to work for success. Being capable and actually doing are two entirely different things.

Option 1: be a NEET instead
Option 2: born into high society
Option 3: Work your way up from the trades society depends on. Your older sibling's "social" major is not something society depends on.
