I have a cup of green tea and sometimes lay down for 5 minutes focusing on breathing or counting to 100.

Its personal preference. But psychosomatic trick work well.

Works for me:
- Chinese tea like Tieguanyin, Da Hong Pao
- Reading fiction books, minimum 2 hours at day. It will train you to concentrate.

Agree with the post above - a good tea can help. I'd generally recommend black tea in cold weathers and green tea in hot weathers. But don't overdo or the effect will be quite contrary.

Anyway, sometime ago when I was studying and got desperate of unable to focus, I got this Piracetam shit which you can buy without prescription. It sort of worked, but had some side effects (bleeding when blowing my nose, horny as fuck or completely uninterested/flaccid, some strange sleep issues...). Just try it.
